- Victor’s Cafe
Known for its authentic Cuban cuisine, live music, and old-Havana vibe, Victor’s Cafe is the perfect restaurant for a festive night on Broadway. Situated mere blocks from Times Square, this one-of-a-kind restaurant offers easy access to several theatres, as well as an extensive menu of traditional dishes and craft cocktails. Family-owned and operated since 1963, Victor’s Cafe has been a favorite among Broadway Theatre patrons for years.
- Sardi’s
People don’t just come to Sardi’s for the food; they also come to view the famous celebrity caricatures that line the walls of this restaurant. With close to 1,000 caricatures on display, many depicting former Broadway performers, there are certainly plenty of stars to see here. Of course, the food is also worth mentioning. With a variety of continental fare on the menu, you can expect to find a mix of Middle Eastern, Caribbean and European cuisines.
- Joe Allen
A favorite among Broadway performers and patrons alike, the Joe Allen Restaurant is undoubtedly one of the most popular eateries in the Theatre District. Situated only a few blocks from Times Square, this classic tavern offers a rotating menu of American comfort food. From burgers to salads, grilled entrees, and homemade pies, Joe Allen truly has it all. If you’re lucky, you may even spot a Boardway star (or two!) while you’re here.
- Los Tacos No. 1
While Los Tacos No. 1 isn’t your typical sit-down restaurant, it’s still one of the best taquerias in the city. Located just off Times Square, this Mexican stand offers a variety of fresh tacos, tostadas, quesadillas, and mulas. With a quick turnaround time and counter space for eating, Los Tacos is a great option if you’re in search of a quick bite to eat before your show.
- Sushi of Gari 46
Offering an extensive selection of sushi and sashimi, Sushi of Gari 46 is one of the most popular Japanese restaurants in the Theatre District. Situated just a few blocks from Times Square, this raw eatery is known for its omakase menu, which leaves the details of each order in the hands of the chef. Of course, if you’d prefer to choose your own meal, there’s also an a la carte menu that you can order from.
- Le Bernardin
There are only five restaurants in New York City that have received three Michelin stars - and Le Bernardin just so happens to be one of them. Founded in 1986, this French seafood restaurant has received several awards and recognitions, including a four-star rating from the New York Times and a 36 ranking on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants List. Needless to say, it’s one of the finest and most delicious restaurants in the Theatre District.
- Aldo Sohm Wine Bar
An off-shoot of Le Bernardin, Aldo Sohm Wine Bar isn’t your typical wine bar. Sure, you’ll find a wide selection of fine wines and traditional charcuterie boards here, but you’ll also discover an extensive menu of French-inspired bites. From truffle pasta to duck confit, banh mi, and whole roasted cauliflower, there’s more than enough here to make a full meal here!
- Carmine’s Italian Restaurant
Carmine’s may be a chain restaurant, but it’s a very popular one that continuously serves delicious family-style Italian fare. Perfect or large groups and families, Carmine’s is a favorite among tourists and locals alike - and is especially popular among patrons with children.
- Danji
Located along the outskirts of the Theatre District, Danji is an upscale Korean restaurant that offers small plates alongside an extensive list of cocktails and wine. While it may appear to be small and unassuming, this eatery is one of the best Korean restaurants outside of Koreatown.
